B's lesson plans Oct. 24-28

Catch up week: Different format!!

Mon.
Traveling back from Hatboro, PA
Natural Science: Witnessed beautiful displays of fall foliage. Read "How Leaves Change" by Sylvia Johnson pgs. 23-40 to learn what makes them change color.
History: Read James Towne: Struggle For Survival by Marcia Sewall
Math: Drilled multiplication and division facts with wrap-ups
Language Arts: Write a thank you note to Dada for his gift which allowed us to go to Chuck E. Cheese and El Rincon Mexican restaurant over the weekend.

Tues.
In order to be completed:
Bible: Read bible (2 Psalms and selections from book of Matthew)
History: Read commentary on Pilgrim's on pg. 19 of TQ guide and read pgs. 3-16 of Landing of the Pilgrims and narrate.
Math: Finish pet store ledger from Jan.  Do graph paper warm up problems.
Zoology: Re-read/ review pgs. 12-17 (to extinction errors)
Anatomy/ Physiology: Read/ narrate pgs. 24-26 and try experiment
Word of the week: submissive (define and write example sentence)
Language Arts: write a letter to Joe
Art: Carve a pumpkin with dad and kids and roast and eat pumpkin seeds

Wed.
Everything not done yesterday(in orange), and:
Bible: Hand commands for 10 commandments and memorize Psalm 23
Fire Safety/ Language Arts: (With family) Discuss how to safely exit the house in case of fire.  Fill out fire safety form using complete sentences.
History: Read LOP pgs. 17-28 and narrate
Math: pg. 52 mammoth math worksheets and graph paper warm ups
Science: Study the 5 main biomes and write about their characteristics and living inhabitants.

Thurs.
A&P/ Language Arts: Pages 26-28: label cell anatomy and give written narration.
History: Read LOP pgs. 29-42 and narrate
Character: Write journal entry on Ch. 2 of Boyhood and beyond.  Copy important sentences.
Zoology 1: Read/ narrate pgs. 22-24.  Identify/ listen to purple marlin and whip-poor-will.  
Math: 8 word problems from stand-up math
Literature: Read 1-10 of Legend of Sleepy Hollow

Fri.
Spelling: Spelling wisdom exercise
History: Read LOP pgs. 43-57.  Complete timeline from exploration to colonization at Jamestown.  
Spanish: Bust out the Rosetta Stone and check it out!
Geography: Complete lesson four #2 and #3 from Paddle to the Sea.  Trace the route from Hatboro to Millmont on the PA state map.
Art: Picture Study, Hip Hop Dance, guitar lesson and drum practice
Nature Study: scavenger hunt (pg. 20 of Z1)
