Review these safety tips about smoke alarms:
- Smoke alarms make a loud noise if there is smoke or fire in your home.
- Smoke alarms use batteries. Have a grown-up test the smoke alarms in your home once a month. If the batteries don’t work, the smoke alarm won’t work.
- Have a home fire escape plan. Know two ways out of every room in your home.
- When the smoke alarm sounds, get outside and stay outside.
- Whenever you leave home because of an emergency, go to your family’s Outside Meeting Place. Wait there for your family.
